The Peace River Regional District and Hospital District serve the Peace River region of British Columbia, south of the 58th parallel and east of the Rocky Mountains to the Alberta border. Its boundaries encompass approximately 12 million hectares (46,000 square miles). The population resides in seven incorporated municipalities and four rural electoral areas.

Buick Creek Funding Announcement
November 12, 2009 (82 KB) - On behalf of the Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification (WD), the Honourable Jay Hill, MP Prince George – Peace River, announced that, under the Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program (RInC), he had the privilege to offer financial assistance and present a cheque in the amount of $939,267 to the Peace River Regional District to assist in the construction of the indoor ice arena at Buick Creek. 

Wildlife MItigation Meeting
The Regional District is hosting a meeting regarding Wildlife Mitigation on Agricultural Land, Crops and Livestock at the Stonebridge Hotel in Fort St. John on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Rural Official Community Plan Website Launched
The Regional District is updating its land use policies in the rural area.  If you live or own land in the North, South, or West Peace rural areas, (beyond the fringe areas of the municipalities) please check out how this may affect you and your community at www.ruralocp.ca. Your opinion is important to us!

 

Our Fort St. John Office has Moved!
The Regional District office in Fort St. John has relocated to 9505 100 Street. Look for the door labelled PRRD to the right of the North Peace Leisure Pool's main entrance.

Tomslake Rural Gasification Project
Peace River Regional District Electoral Area ‘D’ Director Wayne Hiebert announced on August 13, 2009 that he had the privilege to present a cheque in the amount of $1,090,750 to Pacific Northern Gas (PNG) for Electoral Area "D’s” contribution to the Tomslake Rural Gasification project.
